  In Majesty 2, heroes cannot pass from one mission to another. Instead, after each mission, the player may choose one of the heroes and grant him or her the title of Lord. Then, this hero can be hired in later missions.

To break this down in detail: · At the end of each mission you can grant any one of your heroes the title of Lord. · That hero is added to your list of Lords. · In later missions you can hire any one of your Lords from your list, but only one of your Lords for each mission. Lords do not have any special abilities that your other heroes don’t have. Their main feature is that the player can use their Lords in any mission. Lords will be hired by the King in the same state (level, abilities, etc.) as they were when they received their title. The cost of hiring a Lord increases proportionally to the Lord’s level.

In some later missions, players will be able to build a special Hall of Lords, after which they may hire two Lords in a single mission.
