Majesty 2 - Buildings & Constructions
"Okay. I'm not panicking. I'm not. I'm not. Stop looking at me like I'm panicking"
In Majesty 2, players can build over 25 buildings. These include various guilds, a blacksmith’s forge, taverns, fortifications, temples, and so on. Practically every one of these can be upgraded, sometimes several times over, depending on the particular building. Most can be upgraded to the second or third level – some even higher.
There are certain requirements for upgrading a building. For example, to upgrade a Blacksmith you need to have at least eight heroes in the King’s command.
Fans of the original game will see many familiar buildings, as well as many new ones. One of the new buildings, for instance, is a magic Portal that allows heroes to quickly travel great distances. And there are new rules to govern these new buildings. For example, only one Portal may be built per level. If the King wishes to build a Portal in another location, the old one must first be dismantled.
Some of the buildings in Majesty 2 can only be built in certain locations. For example, a trading post can be built only in a “place of trade” – an easily recognizable spot, usually located at a crossroads, and marked with a sign indicating a trade caravan.
Temples to the gods of Ardania are built on special holy grounds. These places are marked with a sacred symbol, and a monster-guard which must be driven away before construction may begin.
